Intelligent Goal Breakdown System

Global goals automatically broken down into hierarchical levels with analytical and predictive methods.

Context

In this project, we used analytical and predictive methods to develop a system capable of intelligently and automatically breaking down a company’s global goal into various hierarchical levels.

Challenge

The challenge was to move from the global goal, passing through the entire tree of commercial hierarchies, to break down goals that were more efficient and realistic.
Intelligent System with Automatic Goals
The company needed an intelligent system to set automatic goals, allowing the company’s global objective to be divided into specific goals for each of its units.
As the company distributes a wide range of products across Brazil and is composed of branches, departments, coordination, areas, and sales zones, the system needed to adapt to the specificities of each of these commercial hierarchies. Moreover, the system had to set goals considering the sales history for each product.

Our strategy

Our service is designed to provide a team of dedicated specialists to turn your challenges into opportunities.

1

We developed a system capable of accessing the database containing the sales history across all commercial hierarchies and segments in Brazil. The system adjusts the statistical models to account for the heterogeneity of each sales location, product, and segment.

2

Additionally, it models the sales forecast for the following month and can accommodate constraints at various levels of the hierarchy.

3

Finally, it feeds the commercial system with the broken-down goals. Overall, the system breaks down the company’s 10 global goals into approximately 200,000 specific goals.

Measurable Impacts and Results

The execution time for breaking down goals was significantly reduced — from over a week to just a few hours;
The process requires less human intervention, delegating the analytical capacity to statistical and computational methods, which manage to break down global goals into goals that are both achievable and challenging.
